Reiki With Love

Reiki is not something you actually do, but beginning to understand who you are, what you’re made of and what is available to support you.

Rei is the Universal Energy that is available to everyone and every thing that has life, people, animals and plants. It is eternal, supportive and nurturing by nature, the divine force that many call God or Spirit. Universal Energy has a frequency that is constant, clear, limitless, intelligent, supportive and intuitive. Made in its image, at your core, you are a divine creation of that energy.

Ki is your unique subtle life force energy, a subtle energy that manifests your living being. Your life force energy holds the blueprint, your true, authentic essence, which like Rei, is also constant, clear, supportive, intelligent and intuitive. It has a frequency that gives off a vibe, or energy signature, which is unique to you. The flow and quality of the energy within you, is influenced by you, your thoughts, beliefs and actions. Your physical body is integrally connected to and dependent upon your Ki and cannot exist without it.

Together, Rei and Ki is a spiritually guided life force energy.

Reiki does not cure or fix people or circumstances but encourages you to reconnect with yourself, the real you, to build inner strength and begin to live your life in a way that more truly represents you. Reiki empowers you to address and deal with anything you are faced with, with more awareness, certainty and confidence. To embody your true nature, access your inner wisdom and begin to live your truth in your everyday life.

Reiki is not a religion, but a spiritual practice that encourages love, acceptance and respect in yourself and others. If you are a person with a strong faith, Reiki strengthens your faith in whatever you believe, however you choose to express it and is inclusive.

Developed in early twentieth century Japan, Reiki has made it’s way across the globe with people learning, practicing and using the services of a Practitioner or Teacher, to complement their wellness regime. Often used for stress reduction and relaxation, Reiki also promotes personal and spiritual growth and healing at all levels, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. It is accessible to anyone, regardless or age, understanding or belief system and can be taught as a self practice.

Back in the day, when I began teaching, students typically learned how to treat themselves, but there was also a component to give to others. It was heavy on that. I believe that while giving to others is a good thing, it must be in balance. Reiki can teach you a lot about yourself, to love and respect yourself more. When you do that, you can do more for others in a more balanced, healthy way, by giving in your own unique way, taking into consideration what is best for you and the other.

During a class, you will learn how to begin to tap in to the Rei, the Universal Energy, and to use that to support yourself and a variety of situations throughout your daily life. Strategies that include learning the basics of the human energy field, through self treatments, sending positive vibes to someone at a distance and how an expanded spiritual awareness can be applied to everyday life.

My teaching style has evolved over the years, but currently I teach Reiki Level 1 for Beginners and Reiki Level 2, which expands on the Level 1 training. For students that have studied with another Reiki Teacher or with me in the past, there is a Reiki Refresher workshop that offers a Reiki Attunement and teaching to reaquaint you. For more info on workshops, take a look at Class Outlines.

If you choose to use the services of a practitioner, they can send you energy at a distance to support you for a variety of situations and circumstances.

Learning Reiki began my conscious journey of self discovery and awareness. As a parent of 3 kids, it was invaluable in so many situations. Parenting is not easy and I am grateful to the Rei that supported me through sleepless nights and challenging times. But even more, it sent me on a path of self discovery that deepened my relationship with myself, to see others with more acceptance, become more present and begin to live with more confidence, honesty, grace and gratitude. Ultimately, this has given me more joy and optimism that we can all make a difference in the world by just being ourselves.
